Our Mission
At the Ethan Wright Foundation, our mission is to create lasting change for young people facing body dysmorphia, mental health struggles, bullying, gender identity challenges, and LGBTQ+ discrimination. Inspired by Ethan’s compassion, strength, and sense of justice, we fund research, support frontline services, and work alongside communities to ensure that every young person feels seen, heard, and supported. Our goal is to turn understanding into action — and to build a future where no one suffers in silence.
Supporting Young Lives
Body Dysmorphia Research
We fund and support evidence-based research into body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) to improve understanding, early intervention, and effective treatment. Our goal is to help young people recognise that how they feel about their appearance is valid — and that support is available.
Anorexia and Eating Disorders
We raise awareness of the serious mental and physical impacts of anorexia and related eating disorders, particularly among young people. Through advocacy, partnerships, and education, we work to challenge stigma and support early access to care.
Bullying Prevention
No young person should feel unsafe or unseen. We support initiatives that tackle bullying in schools, online, and in everyday life — promoting kindness, inclusion, and resilience to help every child feel empowered and valued.
Gender Identity and LGBTQ+ Support
We stand with young people exploring or expressing their identity. Our mission includes funding support services and safe spaces that affirm gender diversity and protect LGBTQ+ youth from discrimination, isolation, and harm.
How We Support Young Lives
The Ethan Wright Foundation began with a generous donation from our founding corporate donor. This vital support allows us to fund accredited research, build grant-making frameworks, and support frontline organisations aligned with our mission.
To grow our reach and increase the number of young lives we impact, we now need the support of individual donors, funders, and partners. With your help, we can expand our work nationally — funding more research, supporting more charities, and reaching more young people when they need us most.
Whether you’re able to give a little or a lot, every donation brings us closer to a world where no young person feels unseen or unsupported.
