Today marks one year since the tragic, accidental death of Ethan Wright.
Ethan was a brilliant, compassionate, and deeply thoughtful young man. His experience — and the way he expressed it — has shaped everything we do.
Ethan lived with body dysmorphia, intrusive thoughts, and deep emotional challenges that were often invisible to others. But he still believed in hope. He wanted things to get better — not just for himself, but for others like him.
After his death, we knew that his voice couldn’t end there. The Ethan Wright Foundation was created to honour his life, his words, and the change he wanted to see in the world.
In this first year, we’ve begun laying the foundations:
Creating resources
Connecting with professionals
Preparing to fund research and frontline support
Thanks to the generosity of our founding donors and early supporters, we’ve already raised over £150,000 to help drive this mission forward.
And most of all, we’ve started telling the truth about what so many young people live with in silence.
And most of all, telling the truth about what so many young people live with in silence.
To everyone who has followed, shared, donated, or encouraged us: thank you. Your support has helped us take these early steps with purpose and with heart.
We miss Ethan more than words can say. But we continue this work in his name — and in the hope that fewer young people will suffer alone.
If you’d like to support the work of the Ethan Wright Foundation — whether through a donation, a partnership, or simply by helping us raise awareness — we would be honoured.
Every act of kindness brings us closer to the future Ethan believed in.
💜
For Ethan. For Others.
