Since becoming a registered charity, we’ve been working behind the scenes to lay the foundations for everything the Ethan Wright Foundation aims to achieve.
Our mission is clear: to honour Ethan’s legacy by supporting young people who are navigating body dysmorphia, eating disorders, bullying, gender identity struggles, and mental health challenges. And that work has already begun.
Here are some of the things we’re focusing on in these early months:
Building Our Grant-Making Framework
We’re designing a structure that will allow us to offer targeted, impactful funding to organisations and initiatives working directly with young people — particularly in areas Ethan cared about deeply, such as body image, early intervention, and inclusive support.
Connecting with Researchers
We believe research drives change — so we’re exploring partnerships with academic and clinical organisations to support studies into body dysmorphia, mental health, and early support models for vulnerable young people.
Preparing for Public Fundraising
With our systems nearly in place — including our website, donation platform, and financial oversight — we’ll soon be opening up the opportunity for others to donate and join the cause. Every pound we raise will go towards making a measurable difference.
Sharing Stories and Raising Awareness
We’ve already begun sharing Ethan’s words, his story, and the reason behind this Foundation. Through blog posts, social media, and future campaigns, we’ll continue to speak openly about the challenges many young people face — and what can be done to help.
We may be small right now, but we have a great team of Trustees and Volunteers who are full of purpose — and this is only the beginning. Thank you for standing with us at the start of this journey.
